During the next 15 months, DePaul will be replacing the student information system (AIMS), human resource/payroll system (HRS) and financial record system (FRS) with new integrated software systems from PeopleSoft. This project is a strategic investment in improving DePaul's capacity to serve students, faculty and staff and to achieving our ambitious goals for 2006. It represents our first truly integrated, comprehensive approach to systems development at DePaul and its impact will benefit everyone who teaches, works and learns at DePaul. This conversion is a monumental undertaking and will require cooperation throughout the university. This cooperation and integration will be insured through numerous project teams responsible for implementing the systems. An executive committee and advisory committee have already been established and team leaders have been identified and are listed on the team/committees page. DePaul's Information and Application Services (IAS) department will play two very key roles: 1) IAS personnel will serve as core members of the individual project teams; and 2) the staff will provide overall infrastructure and technology support. DePaul has hired Kaludis Consulting Group (KCG), a higher education management and information technology consulting firm, to assist with implementation. KCG will provide an overall project manager, John Leydon, and consultants assigned to the various teams to facilitate the transition process.
